Step-by-Step Guide
Phase 1: Phoenix Rising (100-60% HP)
The Phoenix starts airborne, circling the arena. Attacks: Fireball Barrage (shoots 12 fireballs in rotation), Wing Slash (swoops horizontally), Flame Pillar (summons 3 pillars from ground). Target the glowing chest core for 3x damage. The Phoenix lands briefly after Wing Slash - maximum DPS window.
Phase 2: Burning Fury (60-30% HP)
Phoenix becomes enraged. Arena catches fire - outer 25% of screen deals damage (5% HP per second). New attacks: Flame Tornado (rotating flame beams), Dive Bomb (targets your position), Cinder Adds (spawns 5 mini-phoenixes). The mini-phoenixes heal the boss if not destroyed within 10 seconds - priority targets.
Phase 3: Ashes and Rebirth (30-0% HP)
Phoenix enters desperate mode. Continuous bullet hell patterns fill the screen. New ultimate attack: Supernova (charges for 5 seconds, then room-wide explosion). You must deal 20,000 damage during the 5-second charge to interrupt, or use invincibility bomb to survive. If not interrupted, Supernova kills you instantly.
Resurrection Mechanic
When Phoenix reaches 0% HP, it attempts resurrection (ashes form at center). You have 8 seconds to deal 15,000 damage to the ashes to prevent rebirth. If you fail, Phoenix resurrects at 50% HP (Phase 2) and fight continues. The Phoenix can resurrect up to 3 times - preventing resurrections is crucial.
Optimal Strategy
DPS check math: You need approximately 200,000 total damage (100k base + up to 150k resurrections if you prevent none). Save bombs for: Supernova interrupts (emergency), Resurrection prevention (DPS burst), Phase 2 Cinder Adds (crowd control). Prioritize learning dodge patterns over aggressive damage in Phase 1.
Enemy Guide
Phoenix
(Chapter Boss)Tips: 300,000 effective HP (counting resurrections). Chest core is only weak point - 3x damage. Wings take 0.5x damage, body takes 1x damage. Always aim for the chest when possible.
Cinder Adds
(Phase 2 Summons)Tips: Mini-phoenixes with 5,000 HP each. They heal the boss 10,000 HP total if not killed quickly. Spread weapon highly recommended. Spawn every 30 seconds in Phase 2.
Boss Battle Tips
- •Phase 1 dodge pattern: Fireball Barrage - move counter-clockwise in large circles. Wing Slash - move vertically (up or down). Flame Pillar - stay mobile, don't stand still
- •Phase 2 arena fire: You can't avoid the burning arena edges. Accept 5% damage per second and focus on ending the phase quickly. Health management is key
- •Cinder Add priority: The moment they spawn, ignore the Phoenix and focus ALL fire on the adds. 10,000 HP heal essentially restarts Phase 2
- •Supernova interrupt: Start shooting the moment you see the charge animation. 20,000 damage in 5 seconds requires focus fire on the chest core. If your DPS is low, use a bomb immediately
- •Resurrection prevention strategy: Save at least 1 bomb for the first resurrection. Ashes are stationary - position yourself point-blank and unload everything
- •Resurrection math: Each failed prevention adds 2-3 minutes to the fight. You can fail once and still meet the 10-minute objective. Two failures makes it extremely tight. Three failures almost guarantees timeout
- •Phase 3 bullet hell: Don't try to destroy every bullet. Focus on creating a 'safe lane' through the patterns by shooting directly ahead. Move through the lane
- •Heat management: Phoenix fight has no heat gauge! This is purely a mechanical skill fight. Focus entirely on dodging and DPS
- •Equipment recommendation: Bring your highest DPS weapon. This fight is a DPS race, not a survival challenge. Offense over defense
- •Final tip: The first clear is extremely difficult. Don't be discouraged by failures. Learn one phase at a time. Most players take 10+ attempts for their first Phoenix kill
