Sunken Ship

Navigate the dark, claustrophobic interior of a massive sunken warship. Tight corridors, low visibility, and ghost pirates make this a tense stealth-lite level. New mechanic: Light management with limited vision range.

Step-by-Step Guide

Darkness & Lantern Mechanic

The ship interior is pitch black. You have a lantern that illuminates a small circle around you (3-unit radius). Lantern fuel depletes over time (1% per 3 seconds = 300 seconds total). At 0%, you're in complete darkness (can't see enemies or hazards). Fuel pickups restore 20%.

Ship Layout Navigation

The ship has 4 decks: Lower Hold (start), Crew Quarters, Upper Deck, Bridge (boss). Each deck is a maze of narrow hallways and rooms. Look for glowing door markers to find the path to the next deck. Treasure chests are off the main path in dead-end rooms.

Stealth Elements

Ghost pirates patrol hallways. They have limited vision (same as your lantern radius). If they spot you, they chase and alert nearby ghosts. You can avoid most fights by waiting for patrol patterns and sneaking past. But combat gives better rewards.

Treasure Chest Locations

5 chests total. Lower Hold: 2 (one in northwest corner, one in storage room). Crew Quarters: 2 (one behind hammocks, one in captain's quarters). Upper Deck: 1 (in the navigation room). All chests contain gold and occasionally fuel.

Pirate Captain Boss Fight

On the bridge. 15,000 HP. Attacks: Cutlass Slash (close range), Pistol Shot (medium range), Summon Ghosts (spawns 3 adds). Phase 2 at 50% HP - darkness intensifies, your lantern flickers. Weak point: His glowing ghostly heart (exposed after Summon Ghosts).

Enemy Guide

Ghost Sailor

(Basic Enemy)

Tips: Translucent blue. Patrols back-and-forth. Shoots when it sees you. Dies in 2 hits. Can be avoided with patience.

Ghost Gunner

(Ranged Enemy)

Tips: Stationary, guards key areas. Fires rapid triple-shot. Takes 4 hits. Has wider vision range (4 units). Hard to sneak past - usually must fight.

Drowned One

(Elite Enemy)

Tips: Rare, only 3 in the level. Green ghostly glow. Crawls on walls and ceilings. Drops from above for sneak attacks. Takes 8 hits. Drops guaranteed fuel pickup.

Boss Battle Tips

  • Fuel conservation: You can beat the level with 40% fuel if you move efficiently. Explore for treasure after reaching the bridge (no time limit in boss room)
  • Stealth vs Combat: Stealth saves fuel (less time), combat gives more rewards. First playthrough: stealth. Farming runs: combat
  • Navigation tip: At each deck, go to the highest point first for a better view of the layout before descending into hallways
  • Boss strategy: Kill summoned ghosts immediately - they drop small fuel pickups (this is intentional, so Phase 2 darkness isn't impossible)
  • Phase 2 darkness: Your lantern flickers on/off every 2 seconds. Time your dodges during 'on' periods when you can see
  • Treasure efficiency: All 5 chests give 1,000 gold each (5,000 total). Worth the detour if you have 50%+ fuel
