Step-by-Step Guide
Gate Integrity System
The Abyss Gate has 10,000 HP (100% integrity). Enemies attack both you AND the gate. If gate drops to 0%, mission fails. You can't repair it - prevention is key. Gate HP bar is prominent at top of screen. Each enemy type deals different gate damage.
Wave Structure
10 waves over 5 minutes (30 seconds per wave). Each wave: 15-second warning (shows enemy types), 15-second combat. Waves alternate between 'Swarm' (many weak enemies) and 'Elite' (few strong enemies). No break between waves - only the 15-second warning period.
Enemy Gate Damage
Crabs: 100 dmg, Eels: 200 dmg, Squids: 300 dmg, Leviathan Spawn: 1,000 dmg. Priority: Kill Leviathan Spawn immediately, then Squids, then Eels. Crabs are low priority unless swarming. Every enemy you let through costs gate HP.
Positioning Strategy
You're in front of the gate. Enemies approach from 3 directions: left (40% spawn), center (30%), right (30%). Position yourself center-left for optimal coverage. The gate itself blocks your backward movement - you can't retreat past it.
Leviathan Spawn Mini-Bosses
3 appear in waves 4, 7, and 10. Baby versions of the Leviathan boss. 8,000 HP each. Charge toward gate if ignored. You have 15 seconds to kill each before it reaches the gate (1,000 damage). Use bombs here - they're worth it.
Enemy Guide
Abyssal Crab
(Swarm Enemy)Tips: Waves 1, 3, 5, 8. Appear in groups of 20-30. Low HP (2 hits). Fast movement. Individually weak, collectively dangerous. Use spread weapons.
Deep Eel
(Standard Enemy)Tips: Waves 2, 6, 9. Groups of 8-10. Medium HP (6 hits). Weaves unpredictably. Deals 200 gate damage. Kill before they get close.
Void Squid
(Elite Enemy)Tips: Waves 4, 7, 10 (alongside Leviathan Spawn). 3-4 per wave. High HP (12 hits). Shoots ink and tentacles. 300 gate damage. Secondary priority after Spawn.
Leviathan Spawn
(Mini-Boss)Tips: Waves 4, 7, 10. One per wave. 8,000 HP. Massive. Charges straight at gate. Ignores player unless attacked. TOP PRIORITY - use all bombs if necessary.
Boss Battle Tips
- •Gate HP breakpoints: Above 70% = safe. 50-70% = risky. 30-50% = critical. Under 30% = likely failure
- •Wave 1-3: Learning phase. You should end Wave 3 with 90%+ gate HP. If not, restart - you're not ready
- •Wave 4 (First Spawn): Use 2 bombs immediately when Spawn appears. This leaves it at ~2,000 HP - finish with focused fire
- •Bomb economy: You have 5 bombs. Recommended: 2 on Wave 4 Spawn, 2 on Wave 7 Spawn, 1 on Wave 10 Spawn (Wave 10 has fewer adds)
- •Positioning: Waves 1-6 stay center-left. Waves 7-10 stay center (more balanced spawns). Never go far right - leaves left side exposed
- •Wave 10 final push: Spawn + 4 Void Squids + 5 Eels. Kill Spawn first (use bomb), then focus Squids, ignore Eels if gate HP > 50%
- •Objective clarity: '3 Leviathan Spawn' means all 3 must die. If one reaches the gate and you fail, the objective isn't complete
