Sandworm Boss

Face the legendary Sandworm, a colossal desert creature that dwells beneath the dunes. This mobile boss fight takes place across a vast sand arena. The worm burrows, surfaces, and attacks from underground. Three-phase battle of endurance and pattern recognition.

Step-by-Step Guide

Phase 1: Hunt (100-70% HP)

Sandworm has 250,000 HP. Phase 1: Worm burrows underground, surfaces to attack. You fight blind - watch for sand vibrations (ripples indicate its position underground). Surfaces randomly, attempts bite attack (30% HP if hit). Weak point: Head when surfaced (3x damage). ~3 minutes phase.

Phase 2: Fury (70-40% HP)

Worm becomes aggressive. Now surfaces more frequently and uses tail attacks. New attack: Sand Spray (wide cone, blinds you for 5 sec). Arena begins collapsing at edges (safe zone shrinks). Body segments become targetable: Head (vulnerable), Mid-section (armored), Tail (vulnerable).

Phase 3: Desperation (40-0% HP)

Worm's ultimate attack: Sand Tsunami. A massive wave of sand circles the arena edge, closing inward. You have 60 seconds before tsunami reaches center (instant death). Must kill worm before tsunami hits OR jump on worm's back (safe spot) to survive. Extremely tense final phase.

Burrowing Pattern

Worm spends 70% of fight underground. Learn the tell: 5 seconds before surfacing, sand vibrations intensify and move in a line toward surface point. Follow the line, position yourself at end point, ready to attack when head emerges. This is key to DPS optimization.

Enemy Guide

Sandworm

(Chapter Boss)

Tips: 250,000 HP mega-boss. Largest enemy in Chapter 6. Three distinct phases, each more challenging. Underground 70% of time = limited damage windows. Requires patience and pattern recognition.

Sand Spawn

(Adds)

Tips: Phase 2 only. Small sandworms (baby versions) emerge during mid-section. 8 spawn total. Each 2,000 HP. They're distractions. Kill only if they're blocking your shots at main worm. Otherwise ignore.

Boss Battle Tips

  • Phase 1 surfacing pattern: Worm surfaces every 20 seconds. You have 5 seconds to damage before it burrows again. That's 9 surface opportunities in 3 minutes. Make each one count
  • Vibration tracking: The sand ripples move at constant speed. Predict surface point by following ripple line. Position yourself 2 units from predicted spot = optimal attack position
  • Phase 2 segment priority: Head and Tail are vulnerable (normal damage). Mid-section is armored (50% damage). Always attack head or tail. Mid-section is a trap
  • Sand Spray blind: When blinded, STOP MOVING. You can't see and will likely walk into attacks. Stand still, fire blindly, wait for vision to return. Movement when blind = death
  • Arena collapse: Starts at 70% worm HP. Safe zone shrinks 10% every 30 seconds. At 40% worm HP, safe zone is 50% original size. Stay center arena to maximize time
  • Phase 3 tsunami survival: Two options: Option A - Kill worm in 60 sec (requires high DPS, risky). Option B - Jump on worm's back when tsunami starts (safe but prolongs fight)
  • Worm back jumping: When tsunami begins, worm surfaces fully and stays above ground. Run to tail, climb onto back, ride it. You're safe from tsunami but can't damage worm. After tsunami passes, jump off and finish fight
  • 12-minute timer: Phase 1 (4 min), Phase 2 (4 min), Phase 3 (4 min) is the expected split. If Phase 1-2 take 5+ minutes each, you won't make the timer in Phase 3
  • Bomb usage: Save all bombs for Phase 3. The 60-second tsunami countdown is where bombs matter most. 3-4 bombs in rapid succession can deal 30-40% HP = fight-ending damage
